The coupling/connector between AFAS and Jira ensures that the following three processes happen automatically: 1. Creating an account in Jira when a new employee is entered into the HRM system, 2. Granting rights in Jira based on function and organizational unit in the HRM system and 3. Revoking rights when the employee leaves employment or is given a new position.
Jira is used for managing IT projects. AFAS in many cases contains the employees who run the projects and also the billing. The link can, for example, retrieve employees from AFAS and create them as users in Jira, with appropriate permissions automatically. In addition, written hours, for example, can be retrieved from Jira and automatically transferred to AFAS as hours to be invoiced. Another example is capacity control. The link retrieves contract hours from AFAS, scheduled work from Jira, and compares them to determine available capacity.
