What does Workday do?
Workday is a cloud-based enterprise resource planning software. Workday offers multiple systems for human capital management, financial management, planning and analytics in one enterprise application. Workday is best known as an international HR system for human capital management, recruitment, payroll and attendance, leave and absence tracking.
What does the Workday interface do?
The Workday interface makes it possible to use data from AFAS for employee authorisations. When an employee leaves employment, the account can immediately be suspended. Of course, the same applies vice versa. A user role is provided the moment the HR department reports a new employee for employment. This gives the person in question immediate access to his or her applications and information.
If a change is made to e.g. a phone number or position, then this change is immediately implemented everywhere. The Workday interface ensures that when changes are made, all information is automatically sent to the correct location.

Frequently asked questions Workday interface
If you have many employees, you will have to deal with many changes in the workforce. A link ensures that the changes are applied in both AFAS and Workday. This means you only have to enter the data once. In addition, the Workday link allows some processes to take place in Workday and others in AFAS, while the data in the systems remains the same. For example: you enter your new employees in Workday, but absenteeism is entered in AFAS.
Yes, we can also link Workday with systems other than AFAS. Also, there is no limit to the number of systems that can be linked.
The Workday link allows you to use the systems where each system is best for. You use Workday for entering employee data, so you can enter employees in all countries in the same way, while you use AFAS for local Payroll in the Netherlands. Another possible scenario is that HR and Payroll data are both stored and maintained in AFAS Profit, but data is sent to Workday for reporting.
That varies greatly, as these types of systems often require customisation and often involve complex processes. These requirements obviously add extra development time. Our experience shows that from the moment the link is built, an average process takes a lead time of at least 3 months.
